Life Beyond Writing

I’m an elementary school teacher living in Phoenix, Arizona, with my husband, David, and our grown son, Michael. When I’m not teaching or writing, I enjoy reading, traveling, and working on jigsaw puzzles.

How It Started

What do you get when you cross a stomach bug, a vivid dream, and an overactive imagination?

For me, the answer was Revenge Game.

I have always been a storyteller at heart, but I didn’t begin seriously writing novels until one unforgettable dream refused to leave me alone. That dream became the seed of my first thriller, Revenge Game. The setting came naturally—I’ve loved San Diego for years and spent many trips there throughout the 1990s. The characters, however, surprised me. As I wrote, they grew into real people in my mind, and I came to love them as if they truly existed. I hope readers will feel the same connection.

The Importance of Aviation 

Aviation has also played a major role in my life and storytelling. As an aviation wife, I’ve spent countless hours at general aviation airports throughout Arizona, immersed in the world of flight. Those experiences—and many adventures traveling with David in our Beech Debonair—eventually inspired my second novel, Flight Plan.

And yes—San Diego is still one of our favorite destinations.
